       Seymour Police Department Pistol Permit Division  

If you wish to obtain a State of Connecticut Temporary Pistol Permit
 From the Town of Seymour. Read the following instructions.
1.   
You must be a resident of the Town of Seymour and have a Connecticut Drivers License that lists you as a resident of the Town of Seymour, Connecticut.
2.   
You must be 21 years old or older.
3.   
You cannot be a convicted felon, under an order of restraint from a court, convicted sexual offender, or under any listed circumstances that by law prohibits you from carrying or possessing a firearm.
The process takes anywhere from 6 to 12 weeks to complete.
You will be required to obtain a Pistol Permit application packet which are located in our dispatch center. If you have any questions concerning the Pistol Permit process,please contact Sgt. Rinaldi at
