The records division is responsible for distributing and maintaining all police reports written by the Seymour police department. To accomplish this task the records division is maintained by Caroline Spaulding who oversees the division's daily operation.

Each day Caroline enter the previous day's written reports into the department's records management system . Those reports are filed and retained for a prescribed number of years before being destroyed. All police reports are permanently maintained until that time.

Individuals can get a copy of a police report  or accident report with in 7 to 10 business days at a cost of $1.00 per page, In-person by coming to the records division located 11 Franklin Street. The records division is open Monday through Friday.
